POLYNUCLEOTIDES
INJECTABLE SKIN REJUVENATION | SKIN QUALITY & REPAIR
Improve skin quality. Support natural regeneration.
Healthy skin is about more than simply reducing wrinkles.
Polynucleotides are injectable treatments containing purified DNA fragments, designed to support the skin's natural repair processes and improve overall skin quality.
At NECTA Medical Skin Clinic in Sunderland, we use polynucleotide treatments as part of our consultation-led approach to skin rejuvenation, focusing on gradual improvements and natural-looking results.
WHAT CAN POLYNUCLEOTIDES HELP WITH?
Polynucleotides may help improve:
Fine lines and early signs of skin ageing
Skin hydration and elasticity
Crepey or delicate skin texture
Overall skin quality and appearance
The appearance of tired or ageing skin around the eyes
Results vary, and the evidence for different treatment areas and benefits is still developing.
WHICH AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
FACE | Skin Rejuvenation
Support improvements in skin texture, hydration and the appearance of fine lines without adding significant volume.
UNDER EYES | Delicate Skin
Target concerns such as fine lines and crepey texture in appropriately selected patients. Polynucleotides do not reliably correct all causes of dark circles, puffiness or under-eye hollows.
NECK | Skin Quality
May help improve the appearance of fine lines and reduced skin elasticity, depending on the product used and individual suitability.
HOW DO POLYNUCLEOTIDES WORK?
Polynucleotides are DNA-derived molecules that may influence tissue repair, hydration and cellular signalling.
They are used in aesthetic medicine to support skin quality, although the strength of clinical evidence varies between products and treatment indications.
Unlike dermal fillers, polynucleotides are not primarily intended to replace lost facial volume.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Polynucleotides are commonly administered as a course of approximately 2–3 treatments, usually several weeks apart.
Your treatment plan will depend on the product selected, treatment area and individual skin concerns.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Improvements are generally gradual, with changes in skin hydration, texture and appearance developing over the following weeks.
Results are individual, and maintenance treatments may be recommended.
